This Sony MDS JB920  mini-disc recorder is a perfect addition to a large LP collection since you can record your most precious vinyl and playback a perfect copy without wearing out your vinyl.  I have been using it with my collection of over 6,000 lp's but now find myself beginning to thin out my equipment list due to moving to smaller quarters.  My loss is your gain.  There is separate digital and analog recording controls so you can record from both CD's as well as LP's.  The mini discs hold a lot of music and take up very little room.
