Classic Yves Saint Laurent wool knit jacket.  The fabric is a wool knit mix of fine white and black lines with knit trim down the front V-neck, cuffs, and hem.  (See the picture with the buttons, and some in the label picture, for a fabric close-up.)  Three large black buttons close the front.  Shaped through the torso with princess seams.  Patch pockets.   Knit black belt is attached in the back with a small stitch or two.  Gentle shoulder pads give a strong-ish shoulder, but not linebacker size.

The knit makes this jacket easy to move in and a great traveler.  Very versatile from office to dress-casual.

A fairly fitted style - please see measurements below.

Brand: Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche.  Made in France.

Size on the label:  French label sizing 36, but I assume that this vintage sizing does not exactly comport with today.  Please see the measurements below for best fit.

Material:  100% Wool on the label.  However, it is a knit and there may be some stretchy stuff that is not shown on the label.  Dry clean only.

Condition - Quality: excellent previously owned condition.  No stains, tears, holes, weird smells, etc.  It has been carefully stored in a smoke-free, pet-free home.  I am just doing some cleaning out as I head towards retirement.

MEASUREMENTS: these are the measurements of the actual garment, measured with the garment laying flat, i.e. double for bust, waist, hips.  It is best to compare to a garment that fits you well of a similar fabric and style.

To note: my mannequin does not do justice to the garment as it has smallish hips and shoulders, and lists to one side.

Shoulders, shoulder seam-to-shoulder seam at the top: 16"

   Bust, armpit-to-armpit:  18"

   Waist: 14"

Long Sleeves from top of shoulder seam to cuff:  23.5"

   Hips, at hem: 18"

Overall length: center-top to hem:  25"

TERMS: please ask any questions in advance of purchase as I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS.  I try very hard to give an accurate description of the item the first time in the listing.

PAYMENT:  Paypal only, please.  U.S. buyers only, please, unless you can use eBay's international buying/shipping program (I ship to eBay, and they handle the overseas paperwork and hassle.  Not all countries are eligible.).  Any additional costs for international sales (taxes, customs, additional shipping cost, etc.) is the responsibility of the buyer.

I ship USPS with delivery confirmation within 48 hours of receipt of payment, often sooner.

Please note: I no longer offer "free shipping" but separate out this cost to the buyer.  In 2022, the IRS vastly lowered the amount that sellers on third-party platforms (like eBay, Craig's List, Etsy, etc.) can earn without paying income tax.  I'm okay with paying tax on real income, but not on selling the stuff I'm trying to clear out as a retired senior citizen (and already paid sales tax on!).

So, to avoid paying income tax on shipping costs that would go right out the window to USPS, I specifically show what I ask the buyer to contribute to the shipping cost.  This is often less than what I will pay USPS.

The IRS postponed the reg for 2023, but we'll see what happens in 2024.

Thanks for looking!
