1861 SILVER PAIR CASED CHAIN DRIVEN FUSEE POCKET WATCH IN WORKING ORDER


Antique Circa 1861 silver pair cased fusee pocket watch in good working order. The dial is white enamel with black Roman numerals and blued steel hands with sub-dial and marked. The movement is a jewelled chain driven fusee with a diamond end-stone and lever escapement Fire gilt plates with round pillars, decorated cock over a plain steel balance with regulator.

The watch winds strongly, sets and runs for over 24 hours and is in good working order running the full length of its chain and keeping fair time. It has a good swinging balance and good chain. The movement is marked with the number 8682. Both cases are marked to the inside with London silver hallmarks for 1861. It is key wind and set. The dial and dial glass are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks apart from two faint hairlines to the dial and a small nick to the dial glass at the bottom edge. Both cases are clean and bright and have worn as to their age with all the covers closing nice and tight. Please note the pair case side button is missing. The watch measures 47mm excluding crown and its pair case 53mm.
