Manual focus is smooth, and AF is smooth, and zoom is smooth. VR is excellent.

Great optics: no haze, no fungus, one tiny pin prick on the front glass, does not show in any photos. Very sharp lens! 

Lens comes with front/rear caps and soft case only. Nikon USA.
