This is an Anton Schneider Söhne, certified Black Forest, hand painted cuckoo clock. It is most likely a brand new cuckoo that someone bought and bumped the front face and cracked it and repaired it and I did not see until I got it home. The repair is not bad and good enough to fool me, but I wouldn't sell it without telling people about it. 2 feet away you can't even see it. It is shown in the last picture. The cuckoo runs like brand new and keeps perfect time and should last for a long, long time. The cuckoo function can be turned off at night if wished by pulling down on the brass hooked rod on the side of the clock. The clock measures 12" high and 8" wide.
Below is the function of the cuckoo;
At the hour the cuckoo bird comes out of the little door and bobs his head up and down while cuckooing the correct number of cuckoos for the hour. He does this once on the half hour also.
