This piece of rhodochrosite is cut from a peachy-pink colored section of the stone.  Rhodochrosite is often heavily veined with pinks and whites, but this piece is a semi-transparent peachy-pink stone.  It is a 6mm round cabochon cut that weighs 1.6cts.  The sterling silver setting is decorated with a silver butterfly.  The butterfly has swirls of sterling silver decorating its wings.  The ring design is actually a mock-bypass.  The two arms of the ring are joined near the rhodochrosite, so you don't have to worry about the setting loosing it's size or shape.  This pretty ring weighs 4.2 grams.
