You are looking at a pair of gorgeous cufflinks, each set with an authentic United States 2011 Native American Sacagawea Dollar BU Uncirculated Coin. One shows REVERSE in front - Hands and one shows OBVERSE in front - Sacagawea and Her Infant Son. The reverse design features hands of the Supreme Sachem Ousamequin Massasoit and Governor John Carver, symbolically offering the ceremonial peace pipe after the initiation of the first formal written peace alliance between the Wampanoag tribe and the European settlers. The obverse design, by Glenna Goodacre, depicts the young Shoshone woman, Sacagawea, portrayed in three-quarter profile. In the Shoshone verbal legend, Sacagawea is described as having large dark eyes, a feature included in this portrait relief. On her back, Sacagawea carries her infant son Jean Baptiste, who she carried and cared for on her entire 3,000-mile portion of the expedition with Lewis and Clark. The diameter of cufflinks is 27.6mm. The cufflinks are made of solid brass with gold or silver plating, and have never been used before. I only use these coins with readable dates, never try to clean them, and always keep their collectible and numismatic values. I hope you end up with one of these beautiful coin cufflinks. These cufflinks will be great for gift, wearing or just adding to your collection. Thanks!!!
