You are viewing our listing for a quantity of 500 Wooden Soft Pegs also known as Porous Spiles or Soft Spiles. They are approx. 1.5 inches tall (35mm) nominal. A Soft Spile is used to vent the excess CO2 gases whilst conditioning, once this process is complete they are replaced with a Wooden Hard Spile ready for tapping the Cask. This process serves to ensure that the beer is in perfect condition.
