Hello and thank you for viewing our listing!

This is a professionally produced and manufactured DVD. It comes with a case and artwork and is factory sealed in plastic wrap. This makes a great gift for yourself or for someone special.

The video quality for the actual film is not the best. We tried to do what we could to improve the video quality digitally (it has been digitally remastered). It is a black and white print that was given to the United States Air Force. The pictures are actual screen shots from the DVD. Please inspect them so that you can see what the video quality is like.

Product description:

Less than six months after the Pearl Harbor attack, Russian-American aviation inventor and pioneer Major Alexander P. de Seversky wrote a book called Victory Through Air Power, which made a strong case for strategic use of air bombardment for victory in WWII. The book quickly soared in popularity, selling 5 million copies and reaching #1 on the New York Times bestseller list for 4 weeks straight.

One of the book's millions of influenced readers included filmmaker Walt Disney, who was so moved by Seversky's message that he decided to personally finance an animated and live action feature film based on the book.

The film was released on July 17, 1943, and was met with mixed reviews. However, a print made its way to Sir Winston Churchill, who was very impressed with the film. While attending the First Quebec Conference, a secret military meeting for leaders of the Allied Powers, Churchill asked Franklin D. Roosevelt if he had seen Victory Through Air Power. After replying no, a print was then rushed to the conference to be privately screened by Churchill and Roosevelt. Roosevelt was so moved by the film, that he ordered it to be screened for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

This DVD contains a black and white print of the film that was given to the United States Air Force.
