I have for sale what I have been informed is an antique Gullak (Money Box) from the India / Pakastani region.

Please let me know if you have any information about this as id be very intrested to know.

It was seemingly used as a way of collecting coins safe and would wither of been hung up by its hook or else buried in the ground, filled with coins and then smashed when the time came to retrieve them.

Its certainly a very interesting object made of black pottery and inscribed with designs allover.

I dont know its provenance  / age but the old sticker which has been stuck to one end implies that its is definatly old.

It measures about 20.5cm long and the round ends measure 8cm across.

This object weighs 583g.

It is in vintage condition. There is a couple of scuffs and scratches on the body and one of the ends has 3 chips.

Please look carefully at the photos as they form part of the description and ask if you have any questions and I will be happt to assist.
