Old tintype photo of Lincoln County Regulators of the American Old Wild West

I have acquired a box of old tintype photos which I believe date from the 1870’s including this one showing 5 men; being the jewel in the crown and up for auction.  

I truly believe this one to be an amazing old tintype photo of US national importance in relation to the famous old American Wild West.

I am certainly pleased to have acquired a tintype showing a group of individuals because it stands to reason that it should be easier to recognise more people in a group and thereby add much more confidence in relation to the genuine authenticity of the many people shown, as opposed to having just one individual to recognise in a photo which could be much more difficult due to lookalikes of that one individual.  So hence, this is a photo that I have great confidence in being genuine.

I simply cannot accept the proposition that these 5 men are lookalikes of the same era who all happened to meet in the same studio and on the same day to have a group photo taken !

Take a look at the very last photo of Dick Brewer (comparison) photo in this listing.  I challenge anyone to tell me that these 2 photos are not of the same person !  The match is so striking and bang on the same person.  

There are simply too many positive image matches in this photo to the genuine photos to suggest that 5 random lookalikes suddenly all appeared together for a group photo.  The chances of this are one in a million !  I am interested to hear what you think about this, so please feel free to send me an eBay message.

The size of the tintype is 4  1/8 inches by 3  1/16 inches. 

I truly and honestly believe the photo depicts members of the Lincoln County Regulators of the American Old Wild West.

^[1] George Coe: Judging by the quite distinctive heavy beard and his mouth pointing downwards ⌒. 

^[2] Fred Waite: Judging by the quite distinctive long moustache & likely wearing a circular crown "Boss of the Plains" Stetson hat.

Possible date of this tintype: Not after 1878, given that was the year Dick Brewer died.

I am drawing the conclusion that these Regulators posed for this group photo perhaps taken by a famous photographer of that era, and then maybe each member posed respectively for an individual photo perhaps on the same day.
