This is an authentic Mettlach plate circa 1913. It has matte glaze in three different colors. It features an etched matte elder blossom pattern in the art nouveau style. It measures 7.25" in diameter with a slight curvature that raises about 0.5" from the base. 

The Mettlach castle signature are incised on the base, as well as "P" right underneath, "GES. Gesch.", "REC. U.S. PAT. OFF", "3096".

Model number 3096. The number 09 is also incised on the base. There are 2 chips on the brim of the plate that were previously painted with a navy blue color.
