First edition first printing ($0.35 cover price) of Elson's Pocket Music Dictionary.  First prints are EXTREMELY rare.  This is actually still in print (though revised) after 109- years.  An important piece in musical history.  The Elson's Pocket Music Dictionary is by far the best deal for your money. It gives you the specifics and not just a bunch of filler crap you could make an educated guess on. The use of pages and information is conservative but not so much that it is cutting out what is important. As far as the size of the book, this lightweight paperback can very easily be carried in one's pocket. The book contains a short section on music basics such as note value, chords, key signatures...etc.; a pronunciation guide; a section on the tempo marks organized from slow to fast; over 4,000 musical terms; and and over 650 composers.

This rare early copy is in exceptional condition with a strong tight binding, minimal browning, no tears, no missing pages, good covers, etc.  Considering this was a pocket book printed over a century ago in paperback this MAY be the best copy around.
