DEAR ROOKIE..Prepared by the enlisted men of classification under the direction of Major Norman D. Vaughan, Post Classification Officer (Fort Buckley). Compiled and edited by Staff Sergeant Tom Rodman.  Cartoons by Private First Class Henry Syverson.  Composed and printed by Post Reproduction Unit.  No date.  Medium softcover, 36 pages.

Good condition.  Soiling, scuffing, and some edge-wear to the covers.  The pages are clean and the stapled binding is still firm.  The pages are a little offset, mostly along the fore-edge (a printer's error).

Though not dated, I would guess this vintage book to be circa 1930s-1940s. The book gives a humorous rendering of the "classification" process for recruits at Buckley Field, the famous U.S. Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado, complete with black and white cartoons.  I suspect that the book was probably given to recruits as they went through the process.  A scarce piece of U.S. Air Force ephemera.
