Testing Phone Used: 5.7 inches MI 5S plus,
Testing Phone weight: 179.2g
Testing result 1: Put the phone in, it floats vertically in the fresh water (pic 1).
Testing result 2: Put the phone together with a 39.2g knife(flat shape) in, it sank.
Testing result 3: Put the phone together with a 23.8g spoon in, it floats fully horizontally on the surface of water (pic 3).
Conclusion:
1: The case kept phone dry.
2: It can keep your phone floating but you must use it correctly.
Tips: For a 5.7inch phone which is 179g, it floats vertically in fresh water. But it is hard to say how much buoyancy exactly it can get because it depends a lot on how much air you keep in when you seal the case. So if your phone is a big and heavy one, you can seal in more air and easily get it floating. For example when you put in the phone, you could put in together something light but not flat shaped for example a pen or a key vertically to keep a lot of air inside the case when you seal it. Then it will for sure float but not sink.
