A customer recently noticed in the photo that the shade that is shown in the listing seems to have "a line or seam down the center of the shade on one side of the hole but not the other."  That is fishing line, used to attach the price tag to the shade (which isn't visible in the photo).  The photo of the shade was taken in our beautiful lighting showroom, and the shade in the photo is on display, and is for sale.  The shade you will get does not have fishing line tied onto it, because it won't have a price tag on it.  It will come new from the original box.
