Published by Doubleday, not a First Edition as "First Edition" was not printed on copyright page, so a later undetermined printing.  SIGNED BY SOMEONE ON FIRST FREE ENDPAPER.  It could be the previous owner, who was a lawyer in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, or it could be someone of note.  I would note that previous owners don't often note a date under their signed names while someone of note often does to let the world know when he graced the book with his signature.  Also, its not often in my experience that an owner has such a flamboyant signature PLUS the date.  Finally, it does appear that this autograph is written in pencil, not ink.  Anyway, if anyone out there can give me more information on this, I'd be interested.

Dust jacket with light edge wear and chipping, a few small tears, fully intact including price and now handsomely portrayed in a mylar jacket.  Boards and book overall in VERY GOOD CONDITION.  Boards with light edge wear, no further marks in 391 clean and solidly bound pages.

On the author:  "For three years Pierre Salinger served as White House Press Secretary under the administrations of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson. After leaving this post he served as a US senator and then as manager for the presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy."
