Originally developed by General Dynamics as a lightweight fighter, the F-16 quickly evolved into a versatile multirole attack fighter capable of delivering a variety of ordinance for ground attack missions. This Hasegawa 1/72 scale assembly kit depicts the Israeli Air Force (I.A.F.) F-16I Soufa ('Storm'), a variant of the Block 50/52 F-16D, developed by Lockheed Martin to the meet I.A.F. specifications. The Soufa features a distinctive long dorsal fairing bulge that runs along the spine of the fuselage from the rear of the cockpit to the tail fairing, which houses additional fuel tanks and specialized electronic warfare equipment manufactured by Israeli defense industries. This kit features decals for three I.A.F. F-16I Soufa versions: 1) Israeli A.F. 119SQ Code: 497. 2) Israeli A.F. 119SQ Code: 119. 3) Israeli A.F. 253SQ Code: 253. 105 Parts.
