This handmade lampshade is made from original woven, orange tartan 1970's fabric and finished to a high quality. You can have it with bright orange lining or alternatively made with clear backing plastic so you can see both sides of the excellent fabric!
The super funky fabric looks great and are still as bright and fresh as when it was made! This shade would add a pop of colour to any lounge, bedroom or office! Why not get a pair! - Please note - the tall wooden lamp base in some of the pictures is not available for sale!

This stunning lamp is hand-turned from beautiful iroko wood with a light, nearly matt oil finish. The electrical fitting has an height adjuster so you can sit the lampshade on the base or slightly above to let some light out. We recommend using a low energy bulb - if you are not please see the important guide below.
The lamp measures 20cm in diameter and 3cm tall.

Please be aware that the fabric we use is genuinely from the 60s, 70s and 80s and therefore often 40-50 years old so while we do our very best to ensure the products are of the highest quality the fabric may not look like it just came out of a haberdashery. Out products are beautiful one offs!
The panel used in the lampshade has been tested in the Lighting Association Laboratories and has passed the glow wire test which is the British Standard for Luminaries. The electrical components are supplied by LampSpares. In particular the CLC pre-wired cable set including moulded plug, twin flex and in-line switch. These come ready assembled and tested, and comply with both CE mark and Kite (BSI) mark compliance. The lamp holder is non-metallic and does not require an earth connection. The lamp holders are made by Arditi and are small ES (Edison Screw) fittings ideal for a wide range of 240v ac LED lamps.
