SUPERB VINTAGE 1980's HAMMERSLEY BRITISH MADE NAVY BLUE WOOL & CASHMERE COAT

40 INCH CHEST

 THIS COAT SHOUTS OUT QUALITY.

Here are the measurements:

Top to Tail (back of neck to bottom) - 44 inches  

Shoulder to shoulder across back - 19 inches

Shoulder to cuff - 24.5 inches

Armpit to cuff - 17 inches

Chest (measured flat on outside) - 23.5 inches

Suggested size - 40 inches

Please read the measurements to check if it will fit you, but we think it will fit a chest size of 40 inches. The manufacturer's label confirms the size as 40R (40 inches, regular fit). 

The coat is a dark navy blue in colour.

It is single-breasted and is fastened by 3 buttons.

There are 2 large horizontal flap covered pockets at the waist and 2 inside pockets.

There are 3 non-functional buttons on each of the cuffs.

There is a single vent at the rear of the coat. 

The silky dark blue viscose satin lining is generally in good condition, but has come partially unstitched along the seams at the sides from the waist down and at the top of the right sleeve, please see photos. This could possibly be repaired.  

The external condition is excellent.    

Tailored in England by Hammersley from a blend of 65% wool, 15% polyester, 10% cashmere, 10% other fibres.
