Vetus 'Tramon' cowl ventilator

The Vetus Tramon cowl vent is a traditional-style silicone cowl ventilator suitable for ventilating cabins, engine rooms etc..

Silicone rubber is a very flexible materials, with a service temperature of -100°C to +200°C. It is resistant to UV light and discolouring, keeping it looking new for longer.

Two version of the ventilator are available:

Deck ring & nut (code: TRAMON): the cowl ventilator is fixed to the deck by a deck plate (which is screwed or bolted to the deck) and a knurled base ring which can be secured by hand. The ventilator can be easily rotated. If required, a blanking plate can be used (not supplied) over winter to enable the ventilator to be removed and stored inside, with the hole blocked off.

Fixed ring (code: TRAMONS): the cowl ventilator is fixed to the deck by a fixed synthetic ring which is permanently screwed or bolted to the deck. This version is cheaper, but less easy to rotate and can not be easily removed from the deck without tools.

The two types use exactly the same cowl vent, so the fixed ring vent can be bought as a simple replacement for a vent with deck ring & nut if required.
