THIS STAMP AND COVER SHEET WERE RELEASED AS PART OF A SERIES TITLED: GREAT AMERICANS ON UNITED STATES STAMPS SHEET / ENVELOPE MEASURES: 7.5 x 4.25 inches (19 x 11 cm) CONDITION: Near Mint to Mint condition envelope, THE STAMP IS IN MINT CONDITION AS WELL AS THE 22 kt REPLICA STAMP IS MINT BOTH ARE MOUNTED IN PLASTIC ON THE RED FELT INSIDE THE ENVELOPE. Very attractive item! This sheet/stamp/envelope set is from a subscription set featuring stamps on Great Americans who were featured on US postage between the 1930s and 1980s. (THIS ITEM IS UNDATED BUT I BELIEVE IT WAS RELEASED IN THE LATE-1980s). The series was released by THE POSTAL COMMEMORATIVE SOCIETY. Each stamp in this series was 100% authentic and ran live in the USA and this is an uncirculated original stamp that the Society bought up and shipped to its members from famous places where the events took place. The 22 kt gold replica stamp is NOT a valid stamp but it is made of authentic real 22 kt gold! The stamp is mounted in a plastic holder and on a cardboard card INSIDE the envelope with a window in the envelope to show the stamp. The envelope is sealed. Also accompanying the envelope and stamps is a separate sheet as shown which details a brief history on the personality shown. A truly beautiful item!
