      This is a New, Old Replacement Stock water temperature switch marketed by Prestolite Parts Company to replace GM part number 6490440 and will replace Delco D-1873.  My catalogs indicate this temperature switch was the original equipment part in 1977 Buick 301 V8, 1978 Buick 400 V8, 1975 Oldsmobile 400 V8, 1973 thru 76 Pontiac all V8 except Ventura, 1977 Pontiac 350P & 400, 1978 & 79 Pontiac 400, all without guages.
