Below are the general characteristics of the album "Cronologia Filatelica de Mexico"

Cronologia Filatelica de Mexico Album

Objective

The objective of this publication is to be a specialized philatelic album of México, covering all the period from the issuing of the first stamps in 1856 until these days. The album can be kept up to date by adding the annual supplements that are been issued each october, as well as being able to personalize its content by adding pages with a particular format of each series.

Content

Its content is not based on only one existing philatelic catalog; it is the compilation of various, from the most common ones, to the most specialized.

Therefore, as far as its philatelic content, it goes beyond any existing album of Mexico, because it details a great number of varieties, for example, regarding all the classic period, it takes into account the district’s overprints; regarding the permanent series it considers paper varieties. It surpasses and by much, the stamps described individually in any commercial catalog.

It does not pretend to include new varieties or unpublished varieties, our effort is only to put in one “box” and by order, the great majority of stamps from Mexico already documented through time by various known philatelists, where the credit of having studied, discovered and made a variety known to the public, goes to whom did all of the above, therefore, we recognize and try to reference these facts on the biography and inside the album.

Rather, we are thankful to all of them who have spent the time documenting and sharing their knowledge, and that in an accumulative way have created a philatelic richness for Mexico; to all of them, by the means of this album, we make our most sincere recognition.

That’s why it is meant to whom wishes to collect the stamps from Mexico on a specialized way, and wants to have the whole collection in one album.

Format

Its presentation is totally chronologic, no by stamp types, which allows to go over the postal history of Mexico. Considering that the specialized Mexico collector must be or will be very interested in its history, this album compiles on its philatelic chronology and in parallel, a chronologic history of this country.

This is certain when we realize that many historic events have influenced on philatelic issues. This is accomplished by inserting historical capsules in most of the pages, as well as geographic and statistic data from each period.

The collector will be able to let grow this album to his/her pleasure, adding pages with the series’ or stamp’s special format, being able to accommodate his/her own varieties not listed in the album, envelope’s fragments, or complete envelopes.

The format pretends, without discrediting its philatelic content, to be sequential, ordered, descriptive, and nice, in such a way that going over its pages will be a pleasure.
