Rhodochrosite
New with tag. Handsome men's ring in size 13. The main stone is real rhodochrosite from Peru, and the accent stones are white zircon (a natural gemstone, not to be confused by the man-made one by a similar name). The setting is genuine sterling silver, stamped 925.
Rhodochrosite is a unique stone that can display rich veins of dark and light pinks. The ancient Incas believed that rhodochrosite was a sacred stone that held the blood of their kings. This stone is also known as Rosa del Inca, or the Inca Rose stone.
The rhodochrosite in this ring is a warm pink shade called Honey. It is a 9X7mm rectangular cabochon cut stone, and weighs 2.65cts. As with most rhodochrosite, this stone does have some inclusions and slight variations in tone. Each shoulder of the sterling silver setting is decorated with a row of small white zircons. All of the stones together add up to 2.76cts. The setting has a full comfort-fit sterling silver under gallery, and the ring weighs 9.5 grams.
