CHAIN SAW FILING VISE

A must have item for your home or shop, the Forester® Saw Chain Vise can mounted with bolts onto your bench, or be placed inside your vise to secure your chainsaw chain for hand on rotary sharpening.

Brackets allow many different ways to mount this handy tool. Quick release levers make if fast to move the chain and re clamp. Adjusts for all different gauges. It is made from heavy metal, made to last and was designed by a champion sharpener.

Q: What size chains can you sharpen ?

A: Top rail is 17.5" - Works well on chains for 18" bars and longer.

Q: Why is it not clamping my chain ?

A: Clamps are not adjusted correctly. Many users set clamps to tight and it makes a wave in the rail that will not hold the chain. The reaction is to tighten more which makes the problem worse. Then rather then ask a question they post a bad review in frustration. Take a few moments and loosen the clamps till they just squeeze enough to hold the chain. This is often 1/2 turn fine adjustments. The proper setting will clamp evenly and not create pressure spots at the clamps/bolts.
