This versatile Medical Sheepskin underlay comes in various dimensions depending on your requirements.

Yellow Earth Australia is a TGA licensed Manufacturer of Australian Medical Sheepskin. Each product comes with a stamp of approval to certify that it is a Medical Sheepskin Rug. Our Manufacturer's ID number '14' can be found on the stamp to certify quality.

Please be aware as you may see some sheepskin products being labelled as "Medical Sheepskin", however a sheepskin underlay can only be classed as Medical if it is stamped with a CSIRO approval and registered with the TGA which ours are.

Our Medical Sheepskin products can be washed at up to 80°C and is Urine Resistant. Guaranteed to last up to 60 washes.

Benefits of Medical Sheepskin 

Medical sheepskin are selectively chosen for their dense, "spring-like" wool fibres which allow the user the be supported when laying on the sheepskin. This means that pressure is relieved from the body, whilst allowing air to circulate and moisture to be wicked away. 

This effectively and naturally reduces Bed Pressure Ulcers or sores, which is difficult to treat.

A user laying down on our Genuine Medical Sheepskin means that they do not need to be turned over every 2 hours, and can have a good night's rest for both themselves and the carer.

All of our sheepskin products have been manufactured to meet and exceed this standard and any sheepskin products on other sites that do not specifically mention meeting this standard, probably does not. Buyer beware!
