Live-action adaptation of the famous Brothers Grimm fairytale. Granted three wishes by an evil spirit, woodsman John asks for nourishment for his young daughter Snow White, a kingdom in which to live, and a Queen to take as his wife. The spirit ensures that all these wishes come true, but true to its devious nature, it casts its own evil daughter Elspeth in the role of the Queen. As the years pass, the troublesome Queen becomes ever more envious of her beautiful step-daughter and draws up a plot to kill her; but luckily for the princess, a band of seven kindly dwarves come along at just the right moment.
