content area is 22 3/4" wide by 15 1/4" high, with at least 1/2" white border on each side, plus additional border that can be cut off or covered for framing.  I did not remove the excess in the event of damage to the ends during shipping, or edges while handling for framing.

includes latin inscription "nova totius terarum sive novi orbis tabula" which translates roughly to "new to the whole earth or new world records"

the original of this map was drawn in 1665 under the imprimatur of Pope Innocent XI (see images)

makes a great wall hanging in a library, study or similar area!
