MECCANO MAGAZINES X 4 – NAUTICAL / SHIP COVERS - BRILLIANT PERIOD BRITISH TOY / HOBBY ADVERTS – 1950’s

Here is a collection of 4 Meccano magazines dating from 1954-56. They all feature superb nautical related pictures on the front cover – good enough to frame. I Iove the liners and freighters at London Docks – all of a golden bygone age now

What I enjoy most about old Meccano magazines is the wealth of British toy / hobby manufacturers who advertise. This is really a time capsule of the British toy industry – lost names we all remember, and many we have forgotten – and such evocative adverts

A wonderful treasure-trove of articles, adverts and features about Hornby trainsets, Dinky Toys and Meccano. There is always an aircraft and train section as well as heavy industry and the cover story

Generally in very nice condition with all covers attached.  Normal light wear as would be expected of their age.

Magazines are the smaller original size with colour rear covers as well
