This is a Charming Red and Black Lacquered Wood Bento Box with an Elegant Carrying Case.

While it looks new and unused, the high quality suggests that it was made in Japan in the 1950s or 60s.

There are three trays and two removable dividers, making the set versatile for a variety of foods.

The Black Top resting on the Red Trays is held in place, along with the trays, by a vertical rod. It also creates an enclosure for napkins or other accessories. Chopsticks and be used instead of the rod, as they will keep things just as safe when carrying the Bento Box.

The two sides of the Carrying Case are pierced in a Gourd Shape, revealing the Red Lacquer Decorations inside.

This Artful and Functional Item is ready for a Display or to be used daily as the Most Elegant Lunch Box!
