On Dec 22 1928 winter service to Seven Islands  was based in Quebec rather than La Malbaie as in December 1927. This is the return flight Seven Islands to Quebec Dec 30 1928. These covers had no special markimgs. It is AAMC#512b but has been missidentified as AAMC 502b (the 1927 winter service to La Malbaie) by a previous owner.

About First Flight Covers (FFC's) in General

FIRST FLIGHT COVERS are  letters actually flown on the first<> flight of a new airline or air mail service. As such they are tangible artifacts relating to local history. Unlike First Day Covers they exist in only very low numbers.  Few flights had more than a few thousand covers on board, sometimes much less, and a lot of those have not survived as most are 60 to 90 years old.

They are a great item to collect in general and also are great items for collectors of local historical memorabilia.
