Piet Mondrian was one of the founding fathers of the ‘De Stijl’ - “The Style” art movement. Characterized by a black grid of lines with Red, Blue, and Yellow colour blocks.  ‘Almost Mondrian’ keeps the black lines and closely follows Mondrian’s colour palette with different compositions.  Enjoy.

Painted with Daniel Smith watercolor paint, gouache, and India ink on 140# Saunders-Waterford watercolour paper. This is the superior quality watercolour paper made by St Cuthberts Mill and comes with the Royal Watercolour Society’s endorsement. It is made using 100% cotton, the highest quality paper making material, to high archival standards. Saunders-Waterford has always been my goto paper.

The painting is unframed and unmatted. The painting is signed and includes a serial number on the back. My signature is a small cartouche of my initials.

ACEO stands for Art Cards Editions & Originals. They can be any medium on any material, as long as it is 2.5 in. x 3.5 in. (64 mm × 89 mm), the size of a trading card. I cut my own cards in order to use the highest quality material for my original artwork.

There may be slight differences in the colors of the listing picture and actual painting due to monitor settings, camera settings, etc…  Of course, the painting looks better in person!
