Ordinary hen-drinkers quickly get muddy and dirty. The water itself gets dirty. They fall or blow over when they’re low on water. They need frequent topping-up. They never hold enough.

Not the Super-Duper Chicken Drinker. It always holds up to 20 litres of water. It’s perfect for hens, bantams, ducks or game birds. It has a tight-fitting lid, so the water stays fresh and clean. The drinker cups hold enough to satisfy a thirsty bird, but not so much they fill with mud and dirt. Because they’re small, the cups are easy to clean with an occasional quick splash of water.

Automatic, self-filling, for a truly simple life!

The Automatic Super Duper Chicken Drinker simply connects to a water supply via a garden hose. Connect it to a garden or yard tap, open the water supply, and your Super Duper Chicken Drinker always maintains a constant level, never runs out of water! No worries about remembering to top it up, and a reduced workload routine in the hen run or henhouse. And complete peace of mind if you’re busy or away for a few days. With the self full-filling Chicken Drinker, your birds will always have all the clean fresh water they need.

Help protect your birds from avian ‘flu

Avian ‘flu can be transmitted between birds via secretions from their eyes, mouths and nostrils. Wild birds can pass the virus into poultry drinking water, thus infecting your flock.

With the UK now under Avian Influenza Prevention measure, drinker cups that hold standing water can be an invitation to infected wild birds.  Trickle-fed cups, such as those on a Super-Duper Chicken Drinker minimise the risk of your hens drinking infected water.

Optional lid remover tool

You’ll need to open up and check or  clean the inside of your drinker now and again, or adjust the ball valve. Choose a version of the Drinker which includes the optional opening tool, to make quick and  easy work of removing the click-on lid.

Tough, long-lasting, easy to move

The Super-Duper Chicken Drinker is immensely strong, and has a high-strength collar, meaning it keeps its shape when you carry or suspend it. The handle is tough, durable plastic with a generous grip, to allow you carry it in comfort.

The Super-Duper Chicken Drinker comes with two or four drinking cups, to suit the number of birds you have.

Proven design

The cups in your Super-Duper Chicken Drinker use the well-known yellow toggle valves. They’re tried, tested and proven in literally millions of applications, indoors and outdoors, over many years, all over the world. They have just one moving part, which can’t jam or clog with dirt. Your birds will work out how to work them in a matter of hours.

The hinged cups sold on some systems have pivots and hinges which quickly clog with dirt. When they stick in the down position, your birds go thirsty. When they stick in the up position, water flows constantly, making a mess, emptying the drinker quickly, wasting water, making work. They’re great for use with caged birds, in a clean environment. Anywhere else, we’ve found them to be too much trouble. And with standing water in them, they’re more vulnerable to contamination by wild birds infected with avian ‘flu. Trickle-fed drinkers, like those on a Super-Duper Chicken Drinker, minimise the risk of infection.

Why don’t we sell black drinkers?

The more times black plastic has been recycled, the less suitable it us for food use. That means  certified food grade black plastic is expensive.  All black polyproplylene contains carbon-black as a pigment, and the more recycled it’s been, the more stuff that’s in it.  And over time, toxic chemicals can leach out of any plastics, into the container’s contents.

Black plastic may slow the growth of harmless algae, but it doesn’t keep bacteria out. It just encourages bacteria that don’t like light. And in spring and summer, black plastic containers absorb heat many times more than white containers (which reflect heat). The warmer water in black containers encourages the growth of microbes and bacteria. With avian ‘flu a resurgent worry, we stick with white containers for greatest peace of mind. And they’re much easier to keep clean, too.
