A WAY COOL LISTING OF 5 ANTIQUE 1923 ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS VERY ARTISTIC AND SUITABLE FOR FRAMING!

All of these drawings were done by Arthur Deimel.  He was an architect near the turn of the century based in New London CT.  If you Google him by name and this location, you will see that he was responsible for the "Submarine Base" in New London.

He also produced and signed all of the drawings of this listing.  Four of them are color drawings of house sections dated the end of 1923 to the beginning of 1924.  They measure 19.5" by 12.7" (outside dimensions) and include: "Balloon Frame Construction", "Braced Frame Construction", "Detail of Watertable and Cellar Window", and "Details of Wall Sections, Doors & Casement Window".  These are done on thick construction paper and do show wear of being about 100 years old.  The most soiled was the Balloon Frame Construction, suggesting it was always stored on top of the pile.  There is some waviness to one side on a few of these, but there is no water stain darkness or outline on the drawings or on the back side of the drawings.  Please inspect the listing photos carefully for quality and ask questions.

The "Proposed Residence for Mr. James Gilmore - Mystic CONN" measures 23" by 13.5" on the outside border and 18.7" by 8.5" within the homemade matte.  I HAVE NO INFORMATION THAT SUGGESTS THAT THE DRAWINGS ARE SPECIFIC TO THIS PROPOSED HOUSE, AND SIMILARLY I CANNOT SAY FOR CERTAIN IT WAS PRODUCED IN 1923 OR NEAR THAT DATE.  Logically, it would be in the plus or minus 10 year time frame.  These 5 items are drawn by the same architect and found in the same estate, so I'm offering them together.  The Proposed Residence drawing on is what feels like colored transparent tracing paper.  It is backed by homemade thick construction paper and is stapled around the matte.  VERY SUITABLE FOR FRAMING - the image on the tracing paper is very clean and STUNNING!
