Guy Arnoux (1886-1951) was an illustrator and artist whose style was part modern and part archaic. In this creative poster, a debonair cavalry officer wears a dashing eighteenth century uniform and the smile of someone who has a whole cask to himself.  Connoisseurs consider Nuits-St.-Georges the finest of the red Burgundies ("A Toast to Wines & Spirits," Clifton Fadiman).

The poster is linen backed, measures 31" x 48" and is in excellent condition.
