If you are considering purchasing this item, please read the listing IN FULL beforehand as there is a lot of detail contained herein. Thanks.

ALPINA 300mm (12") wide x 22.5mm high front splitter vinyl logo in silver metallic (original ALPINA colour). These fit onto the raised lettering on the front splitter of the car to highlight the manufacturer designation. These are supplied with clear release tape, as in image, to facilitate the easiest possible installation...

Other colours available, as are the 360mm wide logos. See my other listings for those

They are direct copies of the original letter kits, and printed on high quality automotive vinyl. The vinyl is equal to the factory supplied material and is ideal should you be needing to refresh an existing graphic kit. The letters have to each be added individually, ie cut from the letter strings supplied, and stuck onto the raised lettering 1 by 1 as the spacing of the printing does not match the spacing of the lettering on the car (this is normal and occurs even with the factory supplied kits).

ALPINA only ever used 2 sizes of graphic, nominally 300mm wide x 22.5mm high and 360mm wide by 21.5mm high.
Whilst I will offer my knowledge as to what is usually fitted to your particular car, the final sizing is your decision as YOU have the car and can measure it. I'm getting frustrated by some of the aftermarket mouldings which I cannot guarantee a fit for: some of the older models which should have 300mm lettering have been retrofitted with a newer non-OE 360mm lettered spoiler: PLEASE CHECK BEFORE PURCHASE OR AGREE THAT IS YOUR RISK. I will take back genuinely mis-ordered logos if unused and undamaged, but if they are used, I can't help.

This 300mm graphic fits the E36, E46, E60/61 pre-LCI B5, E85 Roadster S, E90/91 D3 (single turbo up to March 2008, E90 B3Biturbo pre LCI and many others.

If you are unsure, to determine which one fits your car, measure the widest point of your lip spoiler lettering at the bottom (ie A to A). If your measurement is 300-310mm, this 300mm logo is the graphic for your car, if the measurement is 355-370mm, then the alternative listing for the 360mm graphic is for you.

In the images above:-
image 1 shows the silver matt graphic (logo) with a clear release tape so the logo can be clearly seen
image 2 shows a graphic fitted to my car for illustration only (car not included with graphic (logo)). For reference, the colour of this graphic is Matt Silver on a space grey car.

If in any doubt about your ability to fit these successfully, I'd suggest you buy 2 sets to cover any possibility of damaging the lettering during fitting! A guideline for the installation is included at the bottom of this listing.

Please note carefully the following:-
Due to damage in the post caused by postmen folding large items for small/tight letterboxes and hence causing creasing of the logo, I now will only supply the kits cut into 2 smaller sections (halves) to keep them small and harder to damage in transit. This cut has no effect on the logo fit. Please do not request 'uncut' as I will not supply in this condition.

If you are then using these on a model which is NOT an ALPINA, join the 2 pieces together with sellotape on the release paper side (only one clean cut is used to separate them) and you can apply to the vehicle in one single piece.

Any questions, just ask.

Installation instructions:-

Remove any old graphics with care (they can be difficult)
Chemicallyclean the raised lettering with something like isopropyl alcohol (methscan be used but may leave a residue, or VERY CAREFULLY a quick wipe with nail varnish remover....no rubbing with this). Don't touch the cleaned paint with your fingers, now.
Cut the letters into their individual squares:You can cut close to the letters if you wish, but you need to allow material to handle the letters a little as if you touch the adhesive side of them, they won't stick properly.
Fit the 'I' 1st - easiest and a good practise starting point.
Remove the paper backing (the paper with the squares on it)
Line it up with the spoiler letter and start to apply it from one corner. If you are unhappy with the alignment peel it back off (note 'peel' not pull/tug) and try again
Fully press the letter down and, if all good, apply thumb force all over.
Remove release paper by peeling from one corner
Gently rub all over with a soft cloth, starting from the centre and working to the vulnerable corners.
Next fit the 'L' following previous method

Then fit the 'P' following previous method taking care to get the open hole of the letter in perfect position.
Then tackle the 'A's and the 'N' in whichever order you fancy. They are equally awkward and patience is required.
Don't power wash the area for a week.
