In need of an editor or proofreader for your book, school paper or application, cover letter, blog post, article, or short story?

A good editor or proofreader can be an invaluable resource to those who feel as if writing is not their strongest suit. And even the best writers need a fresh set of eyes every now and then to look over their work – that second set of eyes can catch silly mistakes and provide helpful suggestions to enhance your piece.

I over 20 years' experience working as a writer, editor, and proofreader. I was the top proofreader at my last job – even though I was the youngest on staff with the least amount of professional experience, my editor made sure every page came by my desk so I could catch gaffes the other proofreaders missed. I won a national award for a series of newspaper articles I wrote on missionaries from Long Island serving around the world. I have also been a blogger for five years.

What you get from me:

  • I will primarily check for grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.
  • I will e-mail you my corrections as a separate Word file with tracked changes.
  • If necessary, I will also include any tips I feel will make your piece stronger (clearing up a confusing point, rearranging paragraphs, using a more descriptive lede, etc.)

Many of my clients are students - high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate - for whom English is their second language. I have lots of experience reading your well-thought out papers, theses, dissertations, and applications and making sure they have the proper English grammatical structure and spelling.

What I need from you:

  • A copy of your work via e-mail: in Word format if a physical piece such as a book, school paper, cover letter, etc. OR the link to your piece if it is on the Internet.
  • If it is a professional piece, such as a school paper or an article, please let me know what style of writing you are using (Chicago Manual, AP style, etc.).
  • Your deadline.
IMPORTANT NOTES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!

·        *  Price listed is PER PAGE (either one physical page or every 300 words).

·        *  Under quantity, please order as many as the number of pages you need me to proofread. If I don’t have enough of the quantity you need, please contact me ahead of time and I will make more available.

·        *  Posted delivery time is in regard to my response to you. I will try to get your edited pages back to you as quickly as possible, and depending on how many pages you need read, that will often although NOT ALWAYS mean within a 48-72 hour period. If you have a strict and immediate deadline, please let me know BEFORE you purchase to make sure I can help you meet it. Also, for any deadline UNDER 24 hours, a rush fee will apply. Please take this into consideration with regards to your deadline. In addition, my price is also negotiable for more lengthy projects.

·        *  I can NOT make any guarantees regarding the outcome of the writing I have edited and proofread. For example, I can’t guarantee your cover letter will get you the job, that your paper will get an A, or that your book will get published. I CAN guarantee to do my best to help you put your best foot forward.

·        I am an editor, NOT a ghostwriter. I will NOT write your paper for you. Please do not ask me to write your thesis statement or add content to help you reach a word minimum. I will very gladly offer you suggestions on ways to improve your paper, but I will not do your work for you. This also applies to a Works Cited page if you have one. If you need to have a Works Cited page, please make the effort to put it together properly beforehand, including properly formatting it and making sure at the very least that the entries are in alphabetical order. There are a ton of style guides available online to help and I will of course proofread that page for you and double check to make sure everything is in order.

      * I do NOT offer refunds, unless you can make a case that I did not hold up my end of our contract (such as if you can show me I missed more than a few grammatical or spelling errors). One missed error won’t cut it – even the best editors aren’t perfect. But I promise to strive for the same level of quality with your work as if it was my own.

Please feel free to contact me through eBay if you have any questions about me or my services. I am more than happy to address any concerns or questions you have!

I look forward to working with you!
