This is a copy of the 1st map of the Pacific Ocean, called Maris Pacifici, which was initially printed in 1589.  Overall it measures approximately 22" x 15.5" (56cm x 39cm).  

This map is a book plate taken very carefully from a book of maps printed in 2006. It is printed on good quality paper but as it is from a book it is on 2 separate pieces of paper. The join between the 2 pages is very good, check the photos for more details. The map is beautiful, the colours are vibrant and overall it's in excellent condition.
