interesting crown deveon pot with a very subtle design around the edges and a wooden lid. Not sure what the wood is. It is very well made. 



I am guessing it is either a trinket box or its tableware and its for salt or something. 
I dont have an idea but needs to go to a collector of crown devon

base says made in england, crown devon, 

The Crown Devon name came into general use in the early 1900s although first use of the name may date from the 1880s. It was first associated with vellum-coloured earthenware painted in the ‘Worcester’ floral decorating style. Jugs, vases, plaques and a host of other items were produced. backstamp suggests made between 1939 - 1965
