This is a hard-to-find American BodyShop Ertl model of the F-4 Phantom fighter jet. It was an interceptor, fighter-bomber manufactured by the McDonnell Aircraft Corporation. It's first flight was the 27th of May, 1958.
This model is new in box and contains a screwdriver to put it together. The box shows some shelf wear and has small tears (see photos).
On the box it says it is 'PREDECORATED', 'EASY ASSEMBLY', AUTHENTIC MILITARY MARKINGS', 'SCREWDRIVER INCLUDED'.
The box says 2001 Racing Champions Ertl, Inc.
Model will be approximately 7" long and 1 1/2" high when put together.
