Few people know that shortly before their untimely death 'Sid & Nancy' became engaged.

The original ring found its way to Sid's Mother Anne Beverly when personal items were delivered back to her by the NYPD from room 100 of the Chelsea hotel after the police investigation into Nancy was closed following Sids death just 4 months later.

In the late 80's Anne Beverley gave it to Sid/Pistols biographer Alan.G.Parker after working on the 'Sid & Nancy' movie, & had future books on the couple planned, Alan hung-on to it for a few years, but during a bout of hard times it was decided to put it to auction....
