New with tag. Handsome ring in size 8 designed for a man's hand (looks equally great when worn by a woman).  The stone is real Shungite from Russia, and the setting is genuine sterling silver, stamped 925. 

Shungite is a fascinating black stone that is highly reflective.  This is due in part to unusual spherical molecules called fullerenes. Shungite is considered a very old stone, dating back two billion years.  For centuries it has been credited with imparting healing and energizing benefits for the mind, body and soul. 

The shungite in this ring is called Elite due to it's high quality. It is a deep black with a soft silvery sheen. In fact, you can see the reflection of my livingroom windows and my camera in the photos I took of this ring. The shungite is a 14X10mm cabochon cut, and weighs 4.65cts. The sterling silver setting has an organic paving-like pattern on the shoulders.  This ring has a sterling silver comfort-fit under gallery, and the ring weighs 6.2 grams.
