Myrna Lee Chang Hawaii White Onyx and Pewter Necklace

This piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age. It was assembled by Myrna Lee Chang in Hawaii, who often used vintage and antique beads and pedants in her work.

Chang was born on Kauai, educated in Honolulu, and studied at the University of Southern California. She extended her love of the arts into the field of jewelry during the 1960s. She owned and operated three jewelry stores, creating and selling her unique form of wearable art. Her necklaces have been featured and sold at many fine establishments, including Academy of Arts Honolulu, Mandalay at the Halekulani Honolulu and Four Seasons Maui Hotels, Montsuki, Indochine, Kona Jewelry, Oogenesis Boutique, Pex of Hawaii, Cina Cina, Grande’s Gems and Hale Koa, as well as fashion shows for Ann Namba and Montsuki.

This necklace features white onyx beads that feature grey veins, as well as metal beads purported to be pewter (they are rather bright to be pewter, but they haven't been tested). The metal beads have slight dings. See photos for details and dimensions.
