Knitting Pattern Book - Farmyard Friends by Patons. Includes instructions for Soay Sheep, Wild Boar, Shetland Pony and Wild Goat mostly uses DK yarn for Sheep, Pony and Goat and 4ply yarn for Boar. Sheep is 6" (15cms) tall, Boar is 5.5" (14cms) tall, Pony and Goat are 6.5" (16.5cms) tall. See photos for details.

Sheep and Goat use 3.75mm needles, Boar uses 2.25mm and 2.75mm needles, Pony uses 3.25mm and 3.75mm needles.

Similar thickness yarns may be used - user must check tension to ensure correct size is produced. 

Sheep requires 1 x 50g ball of two shades of DK - one for body, one for head, horns and legs plus small amount of contrast DK for hooves, horn decoration and facial features.

Boar requires 1 x 50g ball of 4ply for main body plus small amounts of 2 x 4ply shades - one for hooves, one for nose and inside ears plus small amount of White DK for facial features

Pony requires 1 x 50g ball of DK for main body and head, small amount of DK for hooves and main, small amount of aran for main, small amount of 4ply for facial features

Goat requires 1 x 50g ball of main shade in DK, small amounts of DK in two shades for hooves, facial features and horn decoration plus small amount of aran yarn for fringe coat.
