RARE 19th Century Rattanakosin Kingdom era Siamese Buddhist Temple Gilted Bronze Meditation/Prayer Bell. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.

Beautiful and ornate. Charged with ancient magic from its time in a Buddhist temple in Thailand during the late 19th century early 20th century. This incredibly RARE and UNIQUE piece is looking for a home to be treated with the honor that it deserves, having lost its previous home when the collector passed and his eclectic estate was liquidated.

The wooden(most likely teak) frame mount shows some signs of its age with some joint loosening but it is still solidly together. It has never had any repairs and is in its original form having never been tampered with. Please see pictures for details. Overall in fair-good condition. The heavy bronze bell is covered in an intricate and stunning gold gilt, as is the wooden frame. The peak of the frame on both sides shows the magical, protective temple dragon face. Buddha sits in a lotus flower on both faces of the bell and one side shows use in the temple with some wear to the gilt in the center of the bell. There is some minor “splash” residue on the base under the bell. Again, please see pictures for details.

The appraiser has located only one ceremonial bell similar to this in age and appearance listed by a private seller on Amazon Marketplace for $5,889.00.
