"Hampshire." An attractive, small genuine antique map of the County of Hampshire, with the Isle of Wight.

With the publisher's imprint at the bottom "London: Published by J. Wallis, Engraver, 77, Berwick Str. Soho."

The map was first published in Wallis's "New Pocket Edition of the English Counties..." first published in 1812. I believe that the addition of the plate number 17, top right, indicates that this is from the slightly later 1814 edition.

A lovely little map with old handcolouring, that would frame up nicely.

Size: the mount measures approx. 21cms x 15cms. The map itself approx. 13cms x 9cms, as displayed within the mount.

Condition: In a good condition within a mount. The tiny holes in the left hand margin are from the previous binding when it formed part of an atlas. Please study the photographs.
