abalone replacement marbles - these are oversize marbles from an abalone game

each marble is $1.

marbles come in two sizes -

1-  the original abalone 1989 black box game had  marbles very close to 1" - they are actually a little over 15/16th"

     the last photo shows the box with marbles from the 1989 game - which is the most common 

2-  the newer games have 3/4" marbles. 

one method is to rest the marble on a quarter. If you can easily see the rim of the quarter, it is the smaller marble. the 1" marble covers most of the quarter and you can barely see just the edge of the quarter rim or you can use a micrometer as I do.  See photo
