You are bidding on a gently used copy of Monster Madness Magazine, Issue # 1, published in 1972. This item is from my personal library and has been well taken care of.

I’m not a professional grader, but by my best approximation this copy is in somewhere between VG and FN- condition. There’s actually surprisingly little reading wear for a book almost 50 years old (I have a second copy and that is the one I have read over the years). This has been stored in a magazine shortbox for the last 25 years or so and has not been touched at all during that time. The most visible wear is a couple of frayed corners on the front and back cover. There is also some normal age tanning throughout (the whole magazine is on Black & White paper). Additionally, there is a bit of wear along the top edge of the magazine which manifests on some of the interior pages; the splash page shown in the photos demonstrates the MOST visible wear of any of the pages (see small tear along the top edge of the Bride photo)—the majority of the other similar marks are nicks even smaller than that, and they are not present throughout the entire magazine, only on a handful of pages. That’s pretty much the extent. The interior pages are otherwise clean, and the spine is tight and fully intact. Obviously, this isn’t in strict mint condition, but it’s a stellar reading copy for sure. Magazine will be sent in a fresh bag and board. Please look at photos closely for details—they are not stock, this is the actual item you are purchasing.

SHIPPING: After years of letting this slide, eBay is no longer allowing sellers to ship magazines Media Mail—USPS guidelines state that since magazines have advertisements in them, they are not eligible for the discounted rate. Because of this I can no longer offer free shipping. Please note that your shipping fees are based entirely on weight; I am paying for all shipping supplies (which aren’t cheap) out of my pocket. Please also note that any item over 1 pound, which many publications are, must be sent Priority Mail. I have no control over this rule, or the shipping fees, and I assure you I’m not making a cent on that part of the transaction. I simply can no longer sell a magazine for $15, have eBay take 20% of that in fees, spend almost $2 in shipping supplies, then pay $13 to mail the magazine. Obviously, that math doesn’t work for any seller. Thank you for your understanding, and I apologize for any frustration.

Thank you for looking!
