Hand-made story told on these Sleeves or Front Panels used in Clothing
Made with intricate stitches on Silk fabric using Embroidery Thread and Mainly a lot of Gold Embroidery Thread as the base, giving beautiful shine and design to this pair of matched set of sleeves for very special wear. Only wealthy had sleeves of this quality using the Gold like these. I read that typically these would be used in Travel garments by very well off Chinese only as they were the special garments.

Colors are Gold Thread / Blue / Purple / Ivory Stitched to a Seat Cushion
with cushion intact and beaded boarder as you see
Butterfly, Bug, Peacock, Pagoda House - all appear very old but not falling apart ! shows aging in some threads (adding to the beauty and shows age)

Obviously these were a treasure for a traveler to China long ago as they returned to California and had them carefully cared for years of enjoyment on their favorite Seat.
